Got me a tilt shift - how to's?

Picked one up from a Fred Miranda post, local sale.

I would love to hear tips and tricks. We have a vacation last week of August in Tofino, B.C. and I'd love tohave the lens figured out before then!

practice focus, i tryed to practice by focusing on a plant in the front yard and the house down the street. i find it very difficult to see but im getting better.
i want to get one of those magnifiers to help me see the focus.

anyway i will post some links asap...gotta go find them

first thing you always do is meter your expo and focus on far point before moving your tilt.

marc told me he commonly tilts down only 2 ticmarks or whitelines.
ive tried that and its a good starting point, and i usually dont move it further down.

i tried the mod, but i re-modded it back to factory because i like the wide pano ratio rather than the square ratio.

Thank you! One of Aaron's links talks about using the TS for interior and architecture shots, and that is a great bonus for me. It is sitting in its box on my shelf, anxiously awaiting the weekend!
