You're asking for the impossible. You give them a digital file and they can print it as large as they want to. You can give them an image with a low pixel count so that as their print gets larger the image gets progressively worse, but now we're talking about a subjective call as to when the prints gets "too bad" to be acceptable. Everyone draws that line at a different spot in the sand. Therefore your question can't really be answered.

I assume there is a reason why you don't just charge them for the digital files in the first place? How about not offering digital files at all, and sell them those 4x6 prints at near your cost instead.

I am going to charge for the downloads! I see what your saying about they will probably just print it big anyways and then I''l look like a shittymwink.gif photographer-huh!
Well I just though how stinkin easy for me-alot easier than making a cd for them- this is offered to them only after they order prints-right before we take there gallery off! Or to my scrapbookers who want to order every single picture we take simply to cut them up and use them in there scrapbooks!
    Thanks
