Raccoon out in the daylight.....
I have my suspicions about this raccoon in the Viera Wetlands. He was out late morning (almost 10AM) walking along cell #1. I got out of my truck to avoid some of the grass between my camera and him, and to my surprise, it began walking towards me in an aggressive manner. As it's actions suggested that it could have rabies, I got back in the truck............

Nah! He probably thought you were Harry.
He must have gotten it from a squirrell.
Anyway: Florida racoons are more likely to be out in daytime than the traditional northern type. Good to avoid him, but not so sure this indicates he has rabies. (And I think Harry has had his shots as well!)

Squirrels = racoons. :grim
Racoons tear open your garbage bags and raid bird nests. A couple of years ago they raided the Caracara's nest and got all of their eggs. :pissed
I haven't had my shots yet but I'm rather civil early in the day because no one has pissed me off yet. Anytime after 10 AM gets to be a tad dicey though. :beatwax

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I like that second shot Ira.
