Norton Anti-Virus blocking simple upload

All of a sudden Norton Anti-Virus is blocking the Smugmug Simple Upload function. This was not an issue yesterday. All I can think of is that the NAV auto-update performed an update last night that doesn't like Active-X.

Anyway, in the meantime I'd like to use one of the other upload tools. However, when I choose "add photos" it defaults to the Simple Upload Tool because it's the last one I used. This gets blocked and I'm left with a blank page. How can I call one of the other tools?

Try that url ok? Change XXXXX to your album#. We're looking @ the norton thing right now.

Specifically, what Norton do you have?

Norton Internet Security?
Norton 2008?
Norton 360?

Something else?

I have Norton Internet Security (brand new license just purchase, and it's fully up2date)... running on Windows Vista - the Simple Uploader installed and runs just fine.

Sorry Andy... got caught up in the Olympics and fell asleep on the couch. I have Norton Antivirus ver. 15.5.0.23. My "Internet Security" options are set the same as yours.

What are your firewall settings?

Folks, for Norton Internet Security, try these steps:

Essentially, you have to tell Norton, that you *want* to use Aurigma.

Just a note that this issue was fixed on 8/13. It had to do with the ActiveX vulnerability announcement on 8/12. You should no longer need to work around this.
