I like the symmetry of the mountain slopes, the lightning & rainbow.

    Nice shot.

Cool shot. Is that a composite shot?

Thanks, Mike. And no-sir, it not a composite. It's as-shot, and I have the RAW file as proof. deal.gif However, that was astute of you to ask.

Hehe, I wasn't trying to imply anything! It is an amazing shot with the rainbow and the lightning. Nice one!

Nice capture of the lightning AND the rainbow. Now all the image needs is some finessing to make it grand.

    One Question...
Where's the unicorn? :D I agree with rwells, the symmetry between the lightening and the rainbow is pretty cool!

Thanks again, you guys. I wasn't really happy with the processing, so I took another run at it especially to try to reduce the noise. I also used CS3 auto-color feature to see how it thought the colors should be. It's a little yellow, although it was late in the day and that might actually be accurate. Thoughts?

    yeah, a good moment
sincerely I never catch a lightning in my pictures. Seems to be a hard job for me taking pictures with the storm and hopefully catching a lightning. Good job indeed!

Lightning shots at night are a piece of cake. Just open your shutter with a remote and close it after the lightning strikes. Lightning during the day is much more difficult however.
