The monitor I am posting from is a bit dark but they look great. Love the baby elephant. I assume he/she is as fun to watch as Louis is. He is like a 400 pound puppy.
Lets see some of your best Zoo pics
This is cheating really... I was not in the zoo, I was in the Everglades last week... these are some of my first bird shots...input pleasea senors and senoras.. (did ya miss me??)
Lynnma, some one else said it in another thread, but I will repeat it. You need to remove the wannabe from your signature. Those shots are very good. You post a lot of great stuff on this forum and it just keeps getting better.
I like the first bird (Osprey?) shot. What lens were you using? What focal lenth?
Thanks,
Sam
Hi Sam, thanks.. I was using my 75-300mm and I think it was on 300, I seem to have lost all the info as I was transfering stuff from cards to discs in a frantic bid to store my pics. I was experimenting with AP and prob used f16. I did have a polarizing filter on. Only because the old gent next to me with a huge lens said "you really need a polarizing filter" and I said "I have one" and he said "then I suggest you use it"... I took it with my D.Rebel with a tripod. I kicked up the exposre a tad in PS and sharpened it a little but nothing else. They were wonderful and posed all day.
Welcome Back Lynn - How were the Islands? Did you get sunburned?
And it is definitely NOT FAIR to publish your bird pictures without any information about how or when they were taken. Come on now - fair is fair!
Thanks Pathfinder... yes I did, and they were great and I'm covered in Mos. bites and fat. Had a great time obviously.
I've put the stats (what I have) on those pics. I'm very lazy and messy and lost have of them. I must be more organized. I'll rummage some more and see what I have.:D I took about 300 pics if not more....I'll take me days to upload them.

damonff, Thanks
Thanks Damon, I'm blushing again... bit too soon to remove the wannabee I think... but I'm trying real hard

He is just like a puppy. His name is Kandula and he is 2 now (d.o.b. Nov. 2001). We spent at least 2 hours watching him play with his mother and "aunties".
Here is another pic, I kept it light for your monitor..
