Favorite Bridal Portraits
I know there is a thread for "favorite wedding photo" in general. But I'd love to see a gathering of just your favorite Bridal Portraits.
I'll start........this is from the wedding I shot last weekend at a Victorian home/garden. With and without "special treatment"

How about this one....
She got swarmed by a bunch of knats or something
Can't choose between these two...
This one has such a regal feel to it.
This one could use a bit more work - blurring the background a bit.

Beautiful Photo.
I really like the "effect". Care to share how you accomplished that?
Thanks.

Thanks for the compliment.
While at WPPI this past year, I purchased a great set of actions.....Totally Rad Actions. I love the retouching action that it includes.....this uses one of the special effect actions (I think the "Rusty Cage" action) included in the set. In their set of "Caffeine Jolt" actions.
I know they just released a new set of actions as well.....I'm anxious to see what's included, just haven't had time to look yet.

Wow! Gorgeous!!! Love the colors, the detail, the lighting, her "Liv Tyler" expression...impressive.

Here are some:
Oops, just realized that none of mine are full body shots like the rest of you. Darn, I'll just be different. (It is sure hard to choose favorites. Ended up going with the first few favorites, instead of absolute absolute favorites since it takes too long!)
I don't know how you wedding photographers do it. You make it look easy, but now I know how hard it really is.

No problem, my workflow is pretty simple.
I do the RAW conversion and adjust for exposure and white balance in Lightroom.
Then in Photoshop, there are two tools I use on just about all my images. First, Technicolor Dream World from the Boutwell's Totally Rad Actions to bring out the colours.
Then I've made an action using the LucisArt plug in that I use to bring out detail.
I do everything in layers so it is easy to adjust the recipes to taste. I usually have the opacity of the layers pretty low because a little goes a long way with some of these effects. I might do a little dodging and burning too, but I don't think I did for this image.
Finally there's a vignette followed by my frame and logo action.
I've automated this process for online proofs and also for the proof images that clients get on their DVDs. It's only images used in albums, prints or my blog (such as these ones) that normally get individual attention once I leave Lightroom.
I hope this helps.
Cheers!
