This is the Hudson River, looking northwards, about 40 miles north of Manhattan, shot from the Bear Mountain Bridge.

Exif. Canon SD-870 Infrared Mod, shot handheld, it's 8 shots, portrait mode. Shot in RAW, converted to DNG, exposure matched in ACR, then stitched by CS3. In CS3, curves, and crop to 2:1 ratio.

    Outstanding Andy :D

Comp, contrast, subject - it's all there.

Which IR-filter did you have installed in the camera? The black sky kinda suggests an 830nm longpass, or is that just a curve?

Love the sharpness, and depth of the sky. It's as you can see for everthumb.gif

Beautiful country and an excellent take of it in IR. Nice job with the handheld.
Seems that wouldn't be so easy. Panos in Portrait mode seems to be
very popular. I've only done a couple of shots that way and no where near
8 frames. Guess its time to do it any ol time now... :D Along with everything else to try. Long list there.
