The bear went over the mountain....

Or at least he wanted to. This teenager was sitting around looking for something fun to do. Photos take 8/9/08 at the National Bison Range, outside Missoula, Montana.



He decided to go under the fence that kept a herd of 30 or so bison (buffalo) in a restricted area. The chase began....











The bear wasn't hurt...he got back on his side of the fence!

Great series and excellent work capturing this behaviour. I'm surprised the buffalo was able to run the bear down. They can be pretty fast.

Wonderful series. Bison vs Black Bear...yeah the bison would win I think. Now if it were a grizzly all bets are off. Again nice documentary series of pics showing the teenager getting into trouble.
