Hummingbird migration in full swing
The ruby throated hummingbirds have been active this year during migration. I set up a very low tech photo op placing two vases with lantana and hyacinth bean under one of my feeders. Those shots are from the set-up. I hope to improve these shots in the coming days. It was cloudy most of the day thus the rather "flashed" look of the shots. In fact, I even had to attach my beamer to the flash for some extra power. The first three were from yesterday though when it was sunny so no beamer on those.
I have some more but I will share those in a different post. This one already has quite a few images. Tally ho!

Thanks Mike. I am heading out again into the wilds of my backyard to get some more and hopefully in better light.

Very nice Stephen! Waiting on more.

Thanks Bob. I tried to get some more shots but neither the light nor the hummingbirds would really cooperate.

Very good set, Stephen.
Thanks Dan. I like number 4. It's one of the better female RTH images I have.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks Dan. Much appreciated

Thanks Harv. What is curious about that last one is that I had just shot an image before taking that shot and my flash hadn't had enough time to recycle so the image was very underexposed. However, RAW processing saved that one! I had to increase the exposue a stop and a quarter. :wow
