I came back from two weeks in Chicago where I took three set of pics and here the first one :))

    I used a tripod in aperture priority - iso 64 - 2 sc delay - 4 sc exposition - f5.6

    Thanks. They are gorgeous. Why the two second delay?

    I am guessing he used the delay because it is a long exposure and did not want to shake the camera when pushing the shutter button. With the delay, you hit the button and two seconds later the "shutter" opens and you are not touching the camera at all.

    Your white balance is a bit off. what did you have it set at?

    I love Chicago! Thanks for sharing a gorgeous series of skyline shots. :D

    WB is tricky for night shots sometimes. Although the city lights are warm, they can often benefit from some cooling of the general WB. If you were shooting in RAW, this simple tute can show you how to correct this and make it appear more like what you see in real life.

    That last shot is a great idea - looks like a UFO from the Close Encounters movie.
