Help - replace images for own order ??

I wanted to test the differences between true and auto color - so I placed an order this morning from my own gallery. I uploaded pretty low res files in order to speed upload time up and set the proof for 7 days.
I got an email about my order confirmation, but never got the 'replace images' email??? Does this feature not work if it's your own gallery? I want to be sure that these low res images will not go out to customers. Help?
