    Thanks Aaron. I assume you mean turn up the blue filter on the monochrome mixer which will lighten up the tone on the sky, and produce more contrast. I use Aperture, so if you are talking PS, we use different tools.

    I've been 'attacked' by these things too many times! :D Cactus photos are one of my favorites.

    Will be anxious to see it reworked if you tone it down as was suggested.
    Nice texture shot and good idea bringing those needles out using black/white version.

    after a de-sat of blue, i turn down luminance in the blue ch and get this result in the sky...i love doing this and thought you might want to try it...
