My visit to Costa Rica during the green/rainy season (which I think is the best time to go)

The following pictures are from a three day hike around the Corcovado National Park @ the Osa Peninsula; it was a great place to see animals (I highly recommend hiking it if you are visiting Costa Rica)

I went to Costa Rica last year in July (the rainy season), and I have to agree it was a great time to go. I like your picures of Monteverde and the volcano. It seem you were lucky to get some good animal shots, I hope you didn't have to wait the whole vacation to get them, I waited 7 days before I actully saw a monkey. (you can see my shots here http://www.munchkinphotos.smugmug.com/Vacation/471676)

Love Costa Rica! thanks for bringing back some memories. Great that you visited Corcovado, it's an amazing location.

Did you get to Torteguero National Park too?? Been there twice...it's my favorite location in Costa Rica, on the Caribbean coast. There are fewer places I'd rather be than cruising quietly in a canoe through the misty narrow canals of the Torteguero spotting wildlife of many types (monkeys, beautiful birds, crocs, caymans, iguana, spiders, snakes, etc).

I think you got quite lucky to see Poas without a cloud covering the crater!
