I just returned from my annual summer vacation in Acadia National Park. This is the first summer I've had my digital SLR. I used to use a digital point and shoot with the Auto settings. I've tried to experiment shooting with the SLR with the different modes and also post processing (some successful, some not). I'm always jealous of of the photos I see here of the Western US National Parks but I tend to forget about that every summer when I head up to Acadia. Attached are a few of my favorites from this year. C&C welcome, most of what I have learned has been from this forum (Thanks!!)

A great job especially as you say you have previously only used P&S cameras on auto. I never would have guessed! These are really nice shots of a lovely place. thanks for sharing
