Borwich State Hospital

About 2 months ago I went to the greatest abandoned hospital I have seen yet. The drive, the long walk to and from the place in the sweltering heat, and getting dehydrated along the way were well worth it for everything I got to see. Still with almost a full day of exploring this HUGE location we only got to see about a 1/3rd of the place. Hiding from the security ninjas here was also part of the fun...

Very, very good shots. Super captures! I wonder if some of them would look even better (mood-wise) converted to B&W. Just a thought. NOT a criticism.

STUNNING!!! I have a particular affinity for stuff like this and your captures are awesome. I may be heading to Maryland one of these days (I know that's where you are from; please let me know if that's not where these were taken mwink.gif ).

Lucky you to have found such a place to photograph :D

All your photographs speak loudly of the past. Will you be going back to photograph the area you missed? Hope so...would love to see more.

    Nice work!
Love them!! Very well done, and I love your use of natural light.

For those like me who love this stuff be also sure to check out Shaun O'Boyle's work if you've never seen it.

    A treat for the eyes
I am so glad I checked out these shots. The images are provocative and the colors you squeezed out of them are fascinating. It looks like you had a satisfying and exhausting time. The whole gestalt--you shooting there--seems very dream-like.

I need to learn more about doing B&W conversions. I would like to experiment with that, I really only do minimal post processing work, I really should challenge myself and play with B&W a bit... I'll have to post some up once I do them.

This place is about 4 states away. There is a lot of good stuff in MD however, drop me a PM when you sort out your plans and I'll show you around. thumb.gif
