    I like B better.

    But since I don't know what the challenge is, I'm not sure if you are going for a mood or something.

    I like the composition of B, it feels more balanced.
    I like the eye in B, looks closer and more intense.
    I like the candle/lightiing in B, it helps to explain the lighting more.

    Though with A, I want to know more of the story. With B she looks angry.

    I think the candle adds a lot to the composition. It is also fun to see the "light source".

    i agree with shatch, however, in B she looks a bit like a mannequin, but Love the idea and great lighting!!!

    Both photos are done well.

    The more I look at them, the more I'm leaning toward B. As was already pointed out, it's nice to see the light source. Including that light source makes the composition look more complete.

    B for me for all the same reasons as above. I actually like that she looks to be in a trance-like autopilot in B. Considering the heinous act that she is committing, it seems an appropriate expression.

    Thank you to all for your feedback! I, too, like it with the candle, but originally thought it would be a distraction.

    Also, "Arsenic and Old Lace" are plot elements (and title) of a play that had been turned into a movie starring Cary Grant.
