I quite like the 3D effect and framing on this one (apart from the lower cut tail tip), interested to know what others think?
Taken on the banks of the Luangwa River, Sth Luangwa Nat Park - Zambia.

Nikon D2Xs, 300 f/2.8 VR, ISO 400, f/2.8, 1/1000s@300.

C & C most welcome

Cheers

Great image! I'd love to travel to Africa just for the carmines and bee-eaters! Lovely color, light and framing. My only nit would be the oof carmine in the middle background. For some reason that one is distracting to me. I know it helps with the 3D effect but for me it's distracting. I wonder how it would look with that one carmine cloned out. ne_nau.gif

    Perhaps something like this.
A crop of the LHS & cloned out the lower OOF bird & centre branch.

Very nice Marc and I agree with you about cloning out the oof bird. My first reaction to the first image was that it should go but you beat me to the punch with the second image. :D
