Embedded Image Comments

Hi,
I have an IMac running Leopard, and have a Canon Camera and use their ImageBrowser. The EXIF data comes up on uploads to SmugMug. But the embedded comments (what, where etc. I type in) don't seem to be available in SmugMug, so I'm having to recreate a caption for each image. As an aside, when a friend cuts me a disk of images on his PC running BreezeBrowser, I can read his embedded comments, but the EXIF is in a separate Text file. Has anyone else had/solved this problem?
