This one was taken yesterday under very overcast skies (they really were as grey and boring as the picture implies).
The full size original looks much better but is too huge to paste here. If you want to see the original, try this link: http://thwack.smugmug.com/photos/3409801-O.jpg
I know I have a similar view of another steam engine from the same place, but I don't have it uploaded yet.

This little steam engine was built in 1899 and has been in continuous service. On a steep grade, it reminds you of the storybook train and you want to start chanting, "I think I can, I think I can!".

No apologies necessary. I like the tweaks you made to the pic...

Sorry for being slow to reply. I must've dozed off (for a year).
Darned day job keeps getting in the way of having fun.
I like the version you posted, Fish. It looks like it was taken in the Fall though instead of in the Spring. The loss of green really changes the season which I never would've expected...
Kind of a cool thing to keep in mind. Thanks.
Tim
Until your post, I'd never heard of a Garret Steam Train...but Google had. That's one weird looking engine! I found a couple at the bottom of

Thanks! Roaring Camp is an interesting place to visit...too bad they charge so much for a ride up the hill on their train. Can't really blame them though...it's got to be expensive to keep those things running!
