Butterflies - San Antonio Zoo
I shot these this morning. As usual, I struggled with lighting. It was also hard to keep up with a lot of the butterflies. Too bad the ones I got close to were all brown--but the orange slices they were drinking from gave some color. Just seeing them all and learning about the zoo's butterfly program made the hour worthwhile. I bought an annual pass so I can come and go to the zoo anytime I feel like it.
As always, comments are welcomed. Thanks for looking.

#3 - Notice the chunk missing from its wing - this was common in the exhibit
#4 - Does this one need more cropping? Too much foliage?

AS far as cropping on the last one, I would do a vertical crop, wacking off the right side of the picture just to the inside of the stem that runs vertical through the picture, and maybe a tad bit on the top too.
Thanks for the tips. I had done some levels work but I'm still learning...so I went back and did some more. Tried another crop too. Any better? They're only for my use and learning experience. Thanks.
