Lightroom to photoshop problems

So I have been working hard to learn Lightroom (2.0) and last night I ran into a problem that I hope someone can help me with. So I was out shooting some photo's on my Nikon D200 (all RAW). I imported the photo's through Lightroom and started to work. On one of the pictures in the develop module I wanted to open the picture in Photoshop (CS3 extended) and do some sharpening. I right clicked the picture and did edit with Photoshop first as a smart object. Photoship fired up but the picture never opened. So I tried again just as Edit with Photoship. Again Photoshop fired up but the picture never opened. I tried this several times and could never get the picture to open.
Couple stats that may be helpful:
I am running a PC using Vista Ultimate 64
The photo's were in RAW format
Both Lightroom and Photoshop are up to date
All my pictures reside on a network attached storage server that that running fine.
Any feedback as to what I am doing wrong or additional information I can provide woudl be great!
Thanks.

This has been reported to Adobe and I suspect that it will probably be dealt with in the first dot upgrade to the software.
There is a lengthy (actually a couple of lengthy) thread at Adobe forums and one that has some information that may be useful to you is here:

It's not just Vista, but also XP and Mac systems that this can happen to. I don't have this problem thankfully, but I hope it gets sorted out for you quickly.
