Monterey, CA Shorebirds
I went to the Monterey Aquarium last weekend and posted the pics here in Journeys . I should of posted in this topic but at the time of posting i could not decide. Well, this is part 2 and these are some of the wildlife pics I took outside of the aquarium.
This American Avocet was lucky enough to be saved and nursed back to health by the Monterey Aquarium Volunteers
These Wilson's Plovers were everywhere along the sandy dunes hiding in the tall beach grass.
Killdeer
A Pelagic Cormorant cruising at high speed along the shore line
Brown Pelican sharing a rest spot with the cormorants
Brown Pelican flying solo
While I was taking pictures of the Cormorants I was lucky enough to see this sea otter having a crab feast.
This Cormorant kept this Harbor Seal entertained.
Just as I was taking this picture, the poor Harbor Seal was knocked off his rock by a wave.
I hope you enjoyed the photos cause I loved taking them. C&C is always welcomed and wanted ;-)

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thank you. I must admit, i could of taken pics of that otter all day. It was very cool to just sit and observe this guy dive down for his food and come up with a crab everytime.

Of course that's just my opinion and I'm mostly known around here for complaining anyway.

I always welcome opinions no matter positive or negative. It is the only way we photographers can ever improve.
