Merge Control Panel and Account Settings?

So tonight my wife ran into the same problem that I had a few weeks ago:

How do I create new Categories?

Hrm. Account Settings? No. Customize Gallery? No.

Augh! Control Panel!?

Does anyone else here think Control Panel and Account Settings should be merged? I think there's sufficient overlap in their definitions/roles that they should.

Yes. Account settings should be under control panel. But, I would like to see it differently.

I think it's a bit cumbersome to have to go to the 'control panel' just to click on another link. It would be beneficial if this was all controlled through a pull-down menu. There can still be an entry to go to the control panel 'page' for an all encompassing view, but if we already know what we want, it should be easier to get to.

Just my two cents.

(Customize gallary should remain where it is -- it is gallary specific. However, I wouldn't mind a 'global' customization option)
