    So much rain
    has its rewards then?

    We've only been to the flowering dessert once but it was so hot it made me ill.

    Cactus flowers are so neat, aren't they?

    We have some cactus at a local rest area and I think I may see a few buds, not sure. Too many people being mean to the cactus though... they are dying because of the names carved into them.

    I was in Phoenix earlier this year (March) and was amazed by all of the wild flowers in the desert. One thing I wanted to see but did not was flowering cactus. Great photo. - Stan
