hey all, i just got back from japan a couple of hours ago.
gosh i miss it already...

anyway, i was looking through all the shots i took.
i own a nikon d80 with a macro 105mm vr and 70-300mm vr.

i was very happy with my 105mm vr shots, but my 70-300mm vr shots came out mostly blurry...

i was wondering whats another good clear zoom lense i can get cause i really wanna get rid of this lense.
can anyone help me

Post a few sample shots with exif - and then we'll see if there's anything we can do other than point to the 200-400 VR :D
    Creativity's hard.

Unless you got a bad copy or was shooting low ISO and in bad light, there shouldn't be a problem with the lens. It has gotten great reviews in regards to IQ when used in good light which is needed for a "slow" zoom.

After the 70-300, your options are pro glass like the 80-200, or some of the sigmas like the 50-500, or 150-500 OS. If budget isn't a worry, you can't go wrong with the 200-400 f4.

what about the 18-200mm vr, i know it has great review but from personal experience what do u think of it.

i might lean towards the 80-200mm

    thanx

If I could have only one lens, it would be the 18-200. However, it gets pretty much the same reviews as the 70-300 in regards to IQ. You need to find out why the 70-300 is getting it's results. If it's not a bad copy, you will get the same results as they have the same aperture.
