U15 Soccer
In the league that I shoot, I concentrate on the U6-U12 games. More orders. I do shoot the U15 and U18 when I get a request from a parent, or coach. I had a couple of those requests for this week;
All with D300, 300 2.8, and 1.4.

Thanks.

Thanks, Elaine. I shot in aperture priority, so the shutter speeds vaired from 1/1000 - 1/2500. I would suggest that you shoot down at their level. Some use knee pads. I use a stool like this;
I attach it to my belt loop, so when I have to move quickly, it moves with me. Here's some U8 from a couple weeks ago;

Thanks for sharing your technique and more pics! I'll be shooting with a Canon 70-200 f/4 L IS, so I probably won't get as creamy of backgrounds that you got or even the shutter speeds, but I hope I can get something close. My cam is in the shop right now so I tried using a p&S at Saturday's game. Yuck!

Tack sharp, faces, actions, clean backgrounds -- basically, everything that good sports photo should be!
