Last week I visited the crash site of flight 93. I knew where it was but didn't know what to expect.

When I arrived, I was surprised to find out no permanent memorial had been completed or started.

What I found was a temporary memorial with a number of items that will be part of the future memorial.

Here are a couple of shots from a very cold, rainy and somber trip.

Note the flag in the far distance. It marks the point where the plane went down.

    Thanks for sharing these.
I think the benches with the names is a nice way for visitors to sit and connect with those that died that day.

    :(

I thought a part of the memorial was to be a cross forged from steel recovered from the WTC?

I believe the cross was recently completed.

Thanks for a tour of the site.
