Ssssssssexxxx
So there we were, fellow Dgrinner Aaron (anwmn1) and me, minding our own business, while tooling down a long dirt road through some pristine desert, when we found these two young lovebirds shamelessly doing the nasty on the side of the road.
Evidently they didn't take kindly to our presence as indicated by the aggressive body language.
Ladies, and gentlemen, meet the Western Diamond-backed Rattlesnake. It's responsible for more bites and deaths than any other rattler in the US.
Oddly enough, 10 miles down the road, we ran over one. :huh
Thankssssssssssssssssssss....

Cool capture, Joel.
Something that I am not likely to ever see...so thanks.:D

Thanks, Dan. Honestly it was pretty slim pickings on the trip (to borrow a metaphor). The area was reputed to have hawks and foxes, but of course we saw none of them. The landscape was gorgeous, so we took some pictures of that, although it's hard to capture the enormity of it. Really, the snakes were the highlight of the day. Here's one more.

It was fun even though the shooting wasn't really there.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
