why do I have to type www.

In explorer and firefox I have to type out my url in full or I will be directed to the godaddy free parked page. What gives? I have yet to encounter a page, at least in firefox, that I needed to type .com let alone www.

Did you set up an A record for your site? Without that you need to type www. With it you don't.

Sorry guys wrong thread AND already covered topic. I promise I did a search I'm just excited.

hhhhm I seem to have an a record with the correct IP address AND it looks like I have and @ CNAME...

I followed the directions for setting up the custom URL that I already had and that was part of it. Do I have to wait awhile? This was maybe two days ago.

Works here without www Probably didn't wait long enough.
