A few snap-shots while we cleaned up after hurricane Gustov. Sorry for the poor quality...these were shot with a P&S borrowed from my daughter.

We are fine. We have electricity. Most of our city does not. Things are crazy, but we have it under control in my household. Thoughts and prayers are welcome.

First of all, sorry about all the mess that Gustave did. Yikes!

Second, i think those images look very good, they are crisp and clear, you'll be surprised what P&S can do, if you know what you're doing Laughing.gif.

Thanks for sharing your yardwork! clap.gif

    Thanks Awais,
Unfortunately there have been some storm related deaths here. Some from falling trees, and some others from carbon monoxide poisoning. People use gasoline fueled generators for electricity while they await repairs, but position them too close to their home and die from the exhaust fumes.

Most here are okay. Cuba had many more fatalities from this storm.

I appreciate your kind remarks. Peace to you also.

No problem....I am okay with that too. I know you have probably had your hands full very recently with nearly identicle "yardwork". There are a couple more storms approaching. One that may affect you...another that may affect me again. My prayers are that they fizzle.mwink.gif

It's funny that you say that. I've been here for 16 years, and Sarasota area has yet to see anything significant. I hope it stays that way.
Hope everything works out with your area as well, those nasty pesky Hurricanes....

Hey Jeff, I know how it feels...we've had a couple up here over the years and have one setting its sights on us this weekend.

It always amazes me how long it takes to clean up back to "normal" in a community the way you guys were hit. We spend weeks cleaning up yards, trees, hauling away, and rebuilding lawns/lanscaping, etc.

Am greatful you and family are safe.....glad your daughter at school is ok too....those storms are frightening. We have different types up here in Minnesota but wind is wind and looks like you got way too much of it there. Hope the cleanup goes smoothly. Looks like a huge undertaking. Take care and try to get some rest. Prayers are with ya.

Yup....Hannah is heading your way. Get your gas, batteries, non-peishables early....and I wish you the best. N.C. is like Baton Rouge in that we don't get hit hard that often. This is bad because you wind up with a lot of tall...mature trees...with weak root systems just ready to tuble at that first wind.

Thanks...and yes we are all together...and very much okay. Yup, we have had enough wind...and rain...and tornados for awhile. Water/ rivers are rising now due to rain, and tornado warnings are still sporadic. Our next hurdle will be flooding in low areas.

    Thanks for everyones concern....

I got out today and checked on some realatives. This has made me even more appreciative of the realative lack of damage at my own place.

holy lordy! Glad to hear that you and your family are alright after this!

No matter how much I love trees, they do seem to get me spooked whenever I see them fallen over like that onto property or in ways that could be hazardous.

That is my son's truck. He is wanting to sell it if you know anyone interested. It is a 2005 prerunner (2wd) with a 4 cyl. and 5 speed manual w/ a/c. It is in perfect condition...not sure of the mileage. He wants a full size GMC quad cab with a v8.

    I drive the black chevy.
