It was raining when I took it. Rain Deer! Hahahaha :lol3 Oh, I just slay myself. Heehee. Yeah, OK, I have the humor capacity of Rain Man.:crazy

First time using the 400 5.6 in not just lowlight, but raining at the time conditions. I was impressed at its ability for a "slow" lens.

I wish I could say yes, I planned it, but no. I was very close to a very twitch nervous deer. She was eating at the time and looked up at me right before walking away.

Thanks. I know, your shots with it are the reason I went with this lens.

    Nice posting.
    You know I like these!iloveyou.gif

I am still debating over a long lens. One thing I am wary of is; can you easily find your subject with a fixed focal length lens? I realize that the quality should be better than a zoom...but...headscratch.gif

It's not as hard as you would think. If anything you'll always find yourself wanting more length. I generally strap the 400 and the 70-200 soft cases to my belt and find a happy medium with them.

If anything, I find myself swapping wide angle primes much more.
