Return to White Sands

I had a business trip to El Paso so I booked it up to White Sands one afternoon hoping to get some great stuff.
Got rained on and the clouds made shooting a little tough- here are a few shots just to share.

nice setting sun....
and i really like the light hitting the sand in #3, very effective.

Great shots, Aaron. That first one looks like an HDR. Love the illuminated ripples in #3. Got a great sunset in the last one, although I'm wondering if a light HDR treatment would add drama to the sky and bring out the sweet light on the sand. Either that, or a split ND filter maybe.

Hard part was finding good sand. the rain really packed everything down and there were quite a bit of people in the area so finding large sections without prints was a little difficult.

No HDR in the first- just got that one right . Yeap- a better ND filter would have helped and some of those fancy processing techniques too. I am going to have soo many shots to go back through when I finally step up and learn that.
