Password Protected + Map This = no worky?

So, I recently had a 'leak' of my website among my co-workers so I went through and password protected all my galleries, but now it appears that on any of the password protected ones I can't use the 'map this' option that used to be available. Is this by design, and if so, is there a way around it?

my site is in my sig and if you want access to any of the p/w protected sites, pm me and I'll send you the password...

Hi Ryan,

We cannot provide mapping for unlisted or password-protected galleries without violating the terms of use of Google Maps.

I looked and looked and looked at that site and couldn't find anything written about it. apparently I looked and looked and looked right over that part...
