It's beautiful! did you add grain? or was that how it came out..I'd be interested to know.
The contrasty B&W and his intense facial expression combine to make a very striking portrait. I don't know if it was the exposure or your post processing, but it looks like his extreme right side is just slighty blown out around the cheek and beard. Very nice!
BTW, I looked at your profile and it seems that you and I were born only 10 days apart. My birthday is March 19th. Yup, 1956 was a very good year!
