No slim pickin's today.

I got out to the wetlands before the crack of dawn, before the birds got there, and waited, real quiet like..

All 40D w/ 100-400L, a few with the nasty 1.4X

If not mistaken, a marbled godwit, and if it is, it's somewhat rare around here..

A shot I have always wanted, an egret with a fish...

THis is all from the first of 5 cards, I still have 20 gigs to go through. No slim pickin's today :barb

Cheers

That 5th one is a nice shot with the reflection and light.

Where the heck in Carson is that?

How many? Not sure, five 4 gig cards, about 250 shots per, so maybe 1200 or so. At 6.5fps it doesn't take longne_nau.gif

    Thanks for the nice words.

Eggy, #4 is a winner. IMO bring up the exposure some. Spend some time in post on that shot it's got huge potential.

All really nice images. The first one is excellent for detail but that fifth one takes best in show for me. The color of the reflected sky just adds another dimension to set it off bowdown.gif

I need one of those patented Andy tutorialsne_nau.gif

Just kidding. The only was I see to do this is to select the bird and promote him to his own layer. So much work:cry

Great set, I'm a bit partial to the turkey vulture shot... :D

#4 is phenomenal, I agree that the exposure needs to be brought up a bit, but what a shot! bowdown.gif
