Where do we stand on Codes for Discounts?

With hockey season I gave prints to all of the coaches at cost, because they referred all of the parents of their respective teams to my site and generated business. It is too hard to copy all of the pictures into a duplicate gallery, set pricing to default, password the duplicate gallery, and then send it out to the coaches.

I know I could log in and order the pics for them but most would like to just add the ones they want to their cart themselves...and it frees up my time...they don't have to pay me or give me their credit card number..etc etc..

Soccer season has been here and I have many games from 6 teams I'm getting ready to upload. Again...I want to give a discount to the coaches. It is much much easier if someone at Smugmug could create a discount or coupon code box where I can create a coupon code to work for a given gallery/multiple galleries....that they can use before checkout that gets them either a percent discount or it just overides all of my prices and lets them get the default smugmug price where I make no money. % discount would be preferred so I can use it at other times to give money off to customers....like maybe just the parents of the team my son plays on but not the other teams.

I've mentioned this before and was told something might be in the works. I could REALLY use something like this now. Would you have a possible time frame?

Shawn, I don't think that every thread posted here is necessarily seen by the team. You might be better off sending an email to help@smugmug.com to make sure you get an answer.

Wow, I could really use that too. Might be a pain to program, if you wanted the coupon code to expire after a certain time frame. In my case, I like to offer 20% discount to people who order within 2-3 weeks of an event, and now have to manually set the gallery pricing to reflect the date shift. And it would have to apply to a specific gallery.

Clubphoto does that for their own promotions, using coupon codes I mean.
