Make Name required field for comments

All my comments are showing up as from Guest, and I can only assume that it is because people are missing the Name field.

I think this would work better if it were placed under the comment by the Captcha. At the moment it sits next to some fields that most people seem to ignore.

You could make it a required field - if people want to be anonymous they don't have to give their real name. But in most cases, I don't think people commenting on photos will mean to leave it anonymously.

I agree. Is there some javascript we can add to make this field required?

I agree it should be mandatory too. Most coments are marked as guest just becouse people miss the field. Those who wish to be anonymous can make up a name.

Agreed. I am tired of just getting comments from anonymous "guest"

Oh really? Not trying to be rude, but can you let me know how you reached that conclusion? Maybe I am unclear about the general smugmug audience, but seems like flickr/picasa web album/windows live gallery all have more robust ways to add comments, and in the case of flickr, there sure are a lot of comments left by viewers...
