After the party is over

This is Albert Park, after the party is over. It's an exercise in post processing and has done the rounds with friends and a couple of other sites. Here is a black and white version using a bit of PP (been learning to selectively edit bits of an image, which is cool) plus one of the Photoshop Elements black and white presets.

    I'd be curious to hear what elements of the post-processing were causing you difficulty and how you dealt with them.

    In general, the biggest issue tends to be with the selection of specific regions of the photo for adjustment with Photoshop Elements. Sometimes this just works, sometimes it can be pain to get right (and as far as I can tell, the fine tuning feature of Quick Select doesn't actually do anything).

    In this photo, I was lucky. In other recent attempts, I've had to resort to multiple layers.
