To start out, I bought my Canon XT at the beginning of the summer. Had a few powershot point and shots for the past couple of years and always enjoyed taking snaps. I can honestly say I have not spent a better 500
dollars before. I am enjoy the process of learning the camera and finding my "style" in photograph. Do not have a post editing program yet just fooling around with Picasa at the moment, I know....

These shots were taken at a Greek festival in El Paso TX, the few that are at lest postable,enjoy and all comments always welcome.

Scott, you manage to catch some emotional moments - this is YOUR style, I think.
All the rest - light technique, usage of DOF and so on, will come with experience.

I think I agree with Yuri in all he has said. These, especially the first and last, are emotional/feeling type shots. All do a good job of describing the day. I think you have found your vision - now it's just the easy stuff - the techniquies:D.
