Simple Uploader (FF vs IE)

When I upload photos using the simple uploader in Firefox I get a dialog box that shows one picture uploading.

When I upload using the simple uploader in Internet Explorer I get a dialog box showing three photos uploading.

Why is it different? (it's no big deal...just curious)

    Just diff implementations... FF uses Java and IE uses ActiveX.

    This is a huge discovery for me! eek7.gif

    Are there plans to bring multiple photo uploading abilities to the Java-based plug-in for Firefox? I can't tell which is faster (obviously 3 at a time FEELS faster) since my upload is still sharing the same connection and possibly just multiplexing between the bits to be uploaded. BUT the "checking your photo" part no longer impedes the uploading process like it does in FF wings.gif
