Well at least the first postable moon shot for me.

Shot with a D80 a 70-300mm VR lens at 300mm 1/250th at f8 ISO 400. Hand held (VR Rocks!!!).

My first decent moon shot ever and hoping for C&C and any helpful hints.

Tomorrow night when I have more time I'll set up the tripod and remote trigger.

Thanks for looking.

My first moon shots looked awful, no detail whatsoever, just a bright ball of white light in the shot rolleyes1.gif

I know a few Dgrinners love to shoot the MOON.
Can't offer you any tips, except I do recall I think it was Jim that said the Sunny 16 rule applies to shooting the MOON, you sort of have to over expose to get the shot.

Your image looks great, you should be pleased with it thumb.gif

Very nice for handheld. Exposure is very much right on.
Will be neat to see what you get with your tripod in
    your next effort. :D
