A vole
Well, while trying to take pictures of the hummingbirds (I had four buzzing around outside yesterday), my cat brought me a present, an unharmed vole that it was "playing with." I'm such a softy I took the vole and made sure it was fine before deciding to use it as a model since the hummingbirds were not cooperating and the light was poor. So I slapped on my macro lens, stopped all the down to F20 for some deep DOF and took a few pics.
I then released the vole way out in the cow pasture behind my home away from my garden.

Wonderful to have a cat who thinks so highly of you to bring you a gift!
Shooter on a shoestring.
Very good detail.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Yes, but I have such a soft spot for animals that I can not even bring myself to kill it even though it eats my flowers in the garden. I just can't do it to any animal. I mean I am the one that is probably invading its territory.

I'm not too sure what the cat thinks. They are pretty arrogant little creatures. It was a cool little guy to study. It's back legs are bigger than than the front. You can see how it is built to really push that dirt behind it as it digs.

Oh yes, I bet I probably traumatized the thing more than the cat.
