Question came up, and i'd like to know the answer.
Friend of mine hired a photog a while back to take pictures of her and her kids. 2 years ago, photog passed away, but she has no copyright release and when she wants to make a copy she get's refusal without the release. What do you do in sutation like this, due to a photog death, are you kind of stuck or is there a way?

Maybe a copy of the obit. would do the trick.....otherwise she may need to contact the executor of the estate to get a release thru the estates lawyer and who knows they may do it for free if she has it typed up all as a 1time use release......

I believe the copyright passes to the heir...so an heir would have to issue you a release.
Not sure how you would prove the heir is ok to do that to any printer?? Maybe death cert too?
Good luck and if you figure it out let us know!
