I really did not know where to post this, I make my "Journey" to the WTC site everyday. Today was a very emotional day indeed and here are some shots that I took today to share with everyone. I will Leave comment before each Pic. Thanks.

1)Directly across from the WTC site, I think the hand written caption sums up this picture. i chose this shot because I feel it tells a story, the closed part, the unsolved part, the officer walking by just kind of captures the moment to me.

2)The cross at ground zero, this was taken right after the priest blessed it. I was made from debris from the towers and will be returned to a museum when the new towers are complete

3)The plaque on the bottom of the cross above

4)Prayer Station, there are numerous stations for people to stop and pray.

5)What the heck is that.......A coworker grabbed me and was like bring your camera, there are soliders jumping out of planes !!!!!!!

6)Another Jumper by a HUGE crane
370719964_qT4Gp-L.jpg

7)Work continues as usual during the 9/11 rememberence
370720063_VAPLV-L.jpg

8)Another pic of work.

9)Huge pictures of the new buildings

10)someone likes Obama
370720029_8ZUVY-L.jpg

11)Bayonne NJ Teardrop memorial. Looking through the center of this you focus on where the old WTC towers were. I am not a good at taking night shots, any advice on how to photo night shots is greatly appriciated.

12)These are the 2 lights that represent the 2 towers. This is the last year that they will shine these. Again any advice how to get a better pic of these type of night pictures is appriciated.

Thanks Jeff, I am thinking of having the last 2 printed this weekend. See how they look on the wall. I wish I had more time to shoot them but I think for 15 min down there I got a few good ones.

15 minutes? You definitely got some good ones there!

Nevertheless it makes me cringe that 7 years (!!!) after the fall of the towers, there's nothing down there but a big construction site and some pretty drawings. I lived in NYC back then and watched the towers fall, live from Thompson Street. I remember what a monumental impact it had on everyone in the immediate aftermath. Yet, 7 years later building that "freedom tower" and the official memorial at the actual site has become almost an afterthought. Heck, it took only 7 years to build the original towers - now, that's an embarrassment!

    Hey Thanks for the comments. I actually started working by WTC in 2006. I can tell you there has been a tremendous ammount of work done at the site. I know the orig took 7 years, but with all the cleaning up and problems from the surrounding buildings, they are getting alot done. To be honest I did not notice how much was getting done until about 2 months ago I pulled out some pictures from 06 and compared them to the recent ones. The one tower has actually started to go up. Hopefully the get moving so we can see some real progress.;

Thanks, it's weird when you work there, sometimes you become numb to it, but on 9/11 it really hits you especially seeing people all over greiving, then makes you think of people you knew who lost their lives there.

Great Job - It would be tough to go there everyday. Many say that finally next year work will really be started on the rebuild.

The good part is the first tower started going up, its still low but when you get off the train there its right in front of you. When it starts going up i will have to snap some shots of it. I am on the 29th floor directly across the street form there.
