close, but no cigar. Obviolusly, you aren't as stumped as I was. Here's one from the same day and one from a week later. The last one is the funiest bird photo that I've ever taken.

Yep. From chasing them around all summer I figured out that they had two broods this summer: this is the second brood. I can't tell how many were in the first since they all look the same. The one I put up for critique was from the spring brood.
Green Herons are the most secretive birds that I've come up against and are especially well camoflaged.
