Nice series, I like #2 and #5 the best.

I assume these were from the Kamo River? When I was in Kyoto a few years ago I was amazed at the number of Egrets and also the relatively tame Black Kites flying all over the place.

Yeah, those were on the Kamo. It's been by far the most productive place for me for egret shooting. And the black kites are everywhere and very used to people. But I have found them to be like that in most places in Japan. Cheers for looking.
