osprey?

I shot this earlier at bolsa chica wetlands with overcast. i think it came out okay.

suggestions on how to tweak it in PS to make it stand out?

    Nice shot, mate.

    imho,
    crop it below the branch,
    then maybe apply levels or curves, then sharpening. ne_nau.gif
    Canon 40D, 50mm f/1.8, 400mm f/5.6L, sigma 105mm Macro.

    That was cropped. i guess i should have cropped it a little more.

    that was shot with my canon 70-200mm. i let a buddy barrow my 400mm. I think i could have gotten a closer shot with the 400mm.

    Cool capture. Good eye contact thumb.gif As Steve said, some levels to bring it out a bit might be good, but being overcast, it is hard to get a great result.

    Good capture under some very good conditions. From your EV adjustment and the blown out sky it looks like your subject was severely back lit. Those captures are very hard to process so that they "stand out".

    You might try selecting the sky and making it blue.
