Not quite sure of this species? Perhaps Agama Lizard? Any ID help appreciated.

Check the length of that tail! Almost 3 times his body length.

Very cool! Where in the Maldives were you? We were there recently and saw those lizards everywhere too. I think my conclusion was the same as yours, Agama lizard.

    Hi Mike

We stayed firstly at Veligandu Island Resort then finishing at the Conrad- Rangali Island Resort. If you can get over the food/bar prices it's fabulous.:D
Thanks also everyone for your positive comments.

    Cheers

Yeah, prices suck, but the place is awesome. We were there for our honeymoon. Went to Kuredu. Did you see those white and black sea birds with the really long, ribbon-like tails?

Nice work clap.gif The lizard is almost certainly Calotes versicolor, the Crested Tree Lizard, also known as a "Bloodsucker". The latter name is due to the deep red color they become during mating season, not because they actually suck blood; they don't. And it is an Agamid, so you guys were right :D
Once upon a time, they all lived happily ever after.
