First Try at Dewdrops

[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]not one insect seen in garden today, tried some dewdrops, found it very difficult to get frames with enough focus difference to stack. need lots of practise i think.
really happy with first shot.

Is there a good how-to for these?
Is the flower seen in the dew-drop behind the dew-drop?

yes flower is placed behind the blade of grass.

I can't see anything wrong with those at all Phil. If that is your first attempt I am sure you will succeed just as you have done with the rest of all your macro shots etc etc etc.

One point worth checking is whether the stack progam picked up the detail in the single shots- you will often find it doesn't especially on the refracted flower - you can use the repair brush to transfer this detail from a slice onto the stack.

will get some practise in the autumn dew season ,wont be long now.
Maxine i used 5 frames on #1, 4 frames on others which are not as sharp as #1. got focusing slightly out on outside edge and in refraction.
